Review for our Mini Alloy Front Rack

Chris from Biking in Dallas just let us know he reviewed our Mini Front Rack.
Biking in Dallas is a blog that primarily covers cycling in the Dallas, TX area with an extensive list of trail links. They don't review too much new products....actually they seem to review a lot more vintage stuff than new. But we are glad they took the time to share what they think about our little rack. The mini-rack is lightweight, but has a large enough platform to strap on a camping or yoga mat or a Wald basket. Chris was using his to put his camera bag on.

He cited he could not fit fenders on his huge 35c tires, but it is quite possible with 28c's as evidenced here from Franklyn's Bike Garage's photo below. UPDATE 5/2014: This product has been updated with a taller backstop(tombstone) and more eyelets.

YES! The ES's Are Here!

The ES (formerly the "Smoothie ES") is an awesome multi-purpose road frame. While it may not have as quick moves as our Smoothie, it is plenty fun. And what you may give up in race talent, you gain much in other ways.

• More stability on speedy downhills
  
• Steers straight w/o much rider input, which is why it is a great long distance bike
• Ability to take 32c tires, which really can smooth out rough pavemint and reduce fatigue
  
• More room for fenders
• Enough room for smaller panniers (I use grocery panniers on mine)
  

Please note you are not giving up any raw speed. The ES uses the same gauge tubes as the Smoothie and weighs only slightly more (weight difference comes from geometry differences). The ES is the only frame we make in 11 sizes. We also offer 3 different fork options, a carbon fork, a lugged steel fork, and a more affordable unicrown model.

Distributors should be getting theirs in a couple of weeks.

New Handlebar Projects Part Two

A couple weeks ago we announced we were releasing a Lauterwasser replica bar soon and alluded that there would be more bar news to follow.

Well here's the scoop.
• We will be offering an 560mm wide version of our Sparrow bar.
• We will also be offering a version of our 3-Speed (Moustache) bar that fits MTB-style grips and levers. These should be available by July.
• Still in development is this smooth-welded bar inspired by an old Italian cafe-racer design called the "Condorina". This is the 1st prototype.



We have decided to add more backsweep to it. In the final, it'll resemble a Z-bend clubman handlebar. We think it will be very comfy and stylish bar to ride with.
