Sun XCD is a new company that was started by the original president of Suntour and other Suntour colleagues, and they're ramping up to start producing top quality, traditional style components for touring and randonneuring.
These cranks use a traditional french style 50.4 BCD with interchangeable spiders for 110/74bcd and 130/74bcd chainrings.
We'll be stocking these as soon as they're available. Stay tuned for more details.

They look beautiful.
How do these hubs compare to Suzue Classicas?
I hope that the only thing about those cranks that are French is the BCD.
How about bringing over their 120mm wide 5/6 speed cassette hubs?
Evan,
I thought they just used 7 speed cassettes (like Shimano HG50) and dropped a cog.
Why not? Drop a cog from a 7 (or 2 cogs from an 8) and you're left with an "ultra 6" that should be the correct width. That's the way these guys do it: http://www.cyclesgrandbois.com/SHOP/snxd_r_120.html

Both the hubs and cranks look super!
The most important question... are they quiet or noisy when freewheeling?
Beautiful cranks! The long groove along the crank arm is so much more tastefully done than the similar offering from Velo Orange. Any info on the Q factor?
Do you know what it is made out of? Polished or annodized?
After reading the google translations of several japanese sites I got the impression that it was designed with modern derailleurs in mind and doesn't have the narrowest of q factors, more like the new
Herse cranks and less like VO, is that right?
Any word of sunxcd 50.4 rings?
