What is this you might ask?

It's the new Soma Eagle bars, now in stock. It's a three piece welded Cromoly bar with chrome plating and a 31.8 bar clamp.

I've been riding around with these for about 5 or 6 months and I don't think I'll be returning them.

Use them with grips, or with bar tape. You get plenty of room to use brake levers + shifters + bell + whatever else you want to bolt on your bars.

Now available in the Soma Store and at awesomer bike shops everywhere.

New Thick & Zesty Bar Tape Colors!

Some summery colors mixed in with soon-to-be classics.

- The Tangerine is similar to our orange cork version but a shade brighter and with no cork bits
- The Apple Green is a straight up chartreuse. Very intense, but not quite neon. Not to be confused with our Pear Green.
- The Dark Red is a handsome color. If you think our regular red is a little light, check this one out.
- The Teal might seem hard to coordinate with, but it would look great on a white, ti, black or cobalt blue frame.
- The Camouflage Blue is in a grippy striated texture like our other camo choices. Don't know what environment this would give camouflage in --- maybe on Pandora?

In more bar-related news, by popular demand Highway One Compact Road Bars now come in a 46cm wide. So that's 38 to 46cm. Not too many road bars span that range these days.

New Bars

We've got some new version of your favorite Soma Handlebars.

The Clarence and Odin Bars, now in Over sized 31.8.

I've been riding the Clarence on my mountain bike for a couple weeks no and I'm sold. Yes, they do look a little goofy, but that's part of their charm. The extra sweep gives you a super ergonomic hand position and tons of leverage.

The Odin is a more conventional flat bar option, but still boasts a generous amount of sweep to keep your wrists happy on those epic rides.

Our Best selling Soma Oxford bars, now in polished black anodized. Now you can keep your ride murdered out and still run bar end shifters.

So Soma makes a bunch of different bars, as you probably know. We get a lot of questions about whether this lever will work with that bar, so here's my attempt at breaking it down for y'all.

The Condorina, a cafe-racer style handlebar for your bicycle

Given that this handlebar was inspired by Italian motociclettas, I traveled to North Beach, the Italian neighborhood of San Francisco, to capture its sophisticated beauty. It has a very European feel: narrow streets, motorcycles, cafes and small shops with a lovely park in the center. So yes, here's the Condorina enjoying a North Beach espresso..


Here's the whole handlebar, motorcycles afficionados might see resemblance to the club man bar. We hope it will find a home on fixies, townies, and other unique bikes.

- Width: 580mm
- Sweep: 15 degrees back with 5 degree drop/rise
- Center: 25.4mm
- Grip: 22.2mm
