Soma Buena Vista Fashion Shoot Photos

We are quite happy to see Iva Jean Clothing showing off a Buena Vista mixte bike in the latest promotion of their upcoming line. Iva Jean made a splash in the cycling world with chic tailored clothing that looked great at the office and functioned well on a bike. Her new line of minimalistic, versatile staples will be sewn in Seattle.

The previous line had been funded personally, through a line of credit from a fellow bike enthusiast, and a 2013 Kickstarter Campaign. In order to grow Iva Jean, they need your support.
Your contributions will fund:

• Sourcing and purchase of fabric and product hardware
• Production of six new styles including the City Legging, City Trouser, Raglan Short and Long Sleeve, Racer Tank and Tunic
• Continued development of new garments.

(Soma did not provide this bike for the shoot. The Buena Vista happens to be Iva Jean creative director, Anna DeOtte Kaufman's personal ride. It was built by Back Alley Bike Repair in Seattle. For 2014, the BV is available to bike shops as a frame set or complete bike.)

Looking Fine - Ready To Roll Fashion Show

Some pictures from the Momentum's Ready To Roll Fashion Show in Portland. This show was quite unique because it wasn't just put on for the bike crowd or bike industry. It was part of Portland Fashion Week, so you had fashion industry folk and style makers getting possibly their first taste of bike couture from Sheila Moon and others.

Ready to Roll - Oct. 10th

All this month you folks fortunate enough to live near Portland, OR can enjoy all the coolness that is Oregon Manifest. We would like to ask that you not miss one particular Manifest event we are co-sponsoring, the Ready To Roll Fashion Show presented by Momentum. Show-goers can expect to see sleek, sexy, expressive and bike-friendly urban style. Portland Fashion Week also has a hand in this, so who knows... you might be rubbing elbows with super models at this event.

Momentum's Cycling Chic

When the ladies at Momentum Magazine asked us to be involved with their bike fashion issue, we were definitely flattered. They have many respected brands in their e-mail address books, so we are glad to be approached. We ended up sending a Buena Vista and a Stanyan frame with various parts to Vancouver shop, Mighty Riders to build up for the shoot. (A big thank you to Ed, who built them up in record time)

All the bikes featured in the shoot will also be part of the Ready to Roll Fashion Show, presented by Momentum, associated with Oregon Manifest and Portland Fashion Week coming up October 10.
